History
The department of Radio Receivers was organized on 6 January 1955 at the Radio Engineering Institute.
N.G. Ivanov-Esipovich was the ferst of the Depatment Chair the Radio Engineering faculty had two specialities:
- radio engineering
- design and manufacture ot radio devices
The Department of Radio Receivers was one ot three Departments of Institute, where students received speciality of an engineer in Radio Engineering. For the first time methods of computer on the basic of stochustic algorithms designing were developed at the Department of Radio Receivers.
From 1959 till 1961 the first scientific recearch in creation of Television oftalmoscop with the electronic analizer were conducted at the Department of Radio Receivers. The Department Chair associate professor L.M. Seliakov directed that work. In 1986 the training laboratory of Television was created at the Department of Radio Receivers and students began to study the basic program of Television and industrial Television etc. From 1959 till present time the employees of Department of Radio Receivers successfully executed more than 30 receiarching works in several areas of Radio Engineering and Television.
From 1955 till 1999 3 Doctor's and more than 30 Candidate's thesises were protected at the Department of Radio Receivers. In 1994 that Department was renamed into Department of Radio Receivers and Television. Prezent time the scientists of Department conduct recearches in disign exploitation of Radio Engineering and TV means of reception and signal processing. The department of Radio Receivers and Television provides instruction on 48 lecture rates for the students on 11 spcialities. For past years the employees of Department have conducted recearch in several areas of Radio Engineeing and Television, including color and digital TV sistems of Teletext, TV sistems for electronic microscopes etc. They have received more than 200 copyrigth certificates. From 1955 till 1999 hundreds of students received a Diploma in Radio Engineering and Television.
Prezent time the Department of Radio Receivers and Television invites the Bachelor and Master of Degree in Radio Engineering (new subprogram 200701 the Radio Engineering Medical Automated Diagnostic Sistems). The graduates to the program can work in any company engaged in disign, manufacturing sale, installation, operation and maintenance of the different Radio Electronic eguipment.
