Gennadiy Grigorievich Galustov was born on 17 December 1941 in Russia. He graduated from the Taganrog State University of Radio Engineering (former Taganrog Radio Engineering Institute) in 1966 with a Diploma in Radio Engineering. He received a Candidate of Engineering Science degree in Cybernetics in 1971 and a Doctor of Engineering Science degree in Computer Aided Modeling of Biological Signals in 1991 (both from the Taganrog Radio Engineering Institute).

From 1966 till 1973 he was a research assistant and lecturer in the Random Processes Theory at the Taganrog Radio Engineering Institute. In 1973 — 1992 he worked as an assistant professor and docent of Radio Engineering. Since November 1992 he was a full professor at the Taganrog State University of Radio Engineering.

Prof. Gennadiy G. Galustov is interested in development of Electrical Signals Theory, Synthesis of Random Processes, research and processing of Bio-Medical Signals and Image Recognition. He has published 71 papers in different scientific magazines.
